Introduction

With computing solutions used in nearly every field, a Computer Science minor can complement any major and gives students a technical advantage when applying for jobs in any profession. The minor provides students with a basic foundation in both practical and theoretical understanding of the field.

Students must have officially declared a major.

Program Benefits

The Computer Science minor provides students with foundational knowledge that helps students understand the building blocks of computational systems, such as discrete structures and computer organization. The minor also provides students with flexibility to explore many areas within Computer Science, such as database management, programming languages, networking and security, AI and interface design.

Career Options

A Computer Science minor opens up many more career pathways for students. Students can apply their knowledge to practical applications, such as careers at the intersection of technology and education, healthcare, finance, etc.
