University Closed this Evening Due to Weather Conditions
Due to weather conditions, Northeastern is canceling all classes at all locations this evening, Tuesday, February 09. All classes that start after 4 p.m. are canceled. The University will officially close at 4:30 p.m. Please check back on Wednesday morning, February 10, for an update on closure information.
Letter from Presidents and Chancellors of Illinois Public Universities
The presidents and chancellors of Illinois’ public universities wrote a letter to Governor Quinn and Comptroller Hynes to urge their commitment to a reliable schedule for the payment of the state appropriation and swift action to resolve the state’s financial crisis that now threatens the long term viability of public higher education. Free FAFSA Financial Aid Workshops
Northeastern Illinois University invites students and parents needing help understanding or completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to its campuses to receive individual assistance from financial aid professionals on February 6, 13, and 16. These events are free and open to the public. There will also be free financial aid information tables available on select dates in the University's Village Square. Hoops for Haiti at NEIU
Come out to the Hoops for Haiti event and cheer on your favorite NEIU players as they compete in a basketball game to raise funds to support the humanitarian efforts in Haiti. The game will take place on Wednesday, February 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Physical Education Complex, a minimum of $5 donation at the door for spectators. Additional donations can be still be made online to the NEIU Haitian Relief Fund. You will receive a letter acknowledging your tax deductible gift.
Africa International Business Conference at Northeastern Illinois University
The College of Business and Management presents the African International Business Conference at NEIU. The conference will be on February 25 and March 1-2, open to the public with no reservations required. For a list of conference sessions and activities, visit the conference program page.
