College of Education Earns Reaccreditation
Northeastern's College of Education earned reaccreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Colleges of Teachers Education. All six standards set by NCATE were met by Northeastern including the highest level of recognition in the standard of diversity.

Newsweek Names NEIU the Sixth Best Investment in the U.S.
Northeastern Illinois University has been
ranked sixth in the U.S. for Best Investment
in
Newsweek's
annual edition of “College Rankings 2012.” The article indicated only 13 percent of NEIU students graduate with debt and graduates have an average mid-career salary of more than $70,000. To compile the list,
Newsweek
considered four factors: debt, total cost, financial aid and future earnings.
