NEIU Alums Awarded Five of the 10 Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching Carol Broos (M.A. '86 Music), Natalie Neris-Guereca (B.A. '02 Elementary Education: Teacher Education), Brooke Tippet Thompson (M.A. '97 Music), Donnell White (B.A. '02 Elementary Education) and Samina Khan (Biology) were recently named winners of this distinguished award, which recognizes outstanding teachers in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, and Will counties. Click here for more information. Presidential Task Force on the Millennium Student The Presidential Task Force on the Millennium Student is on Phase 3 of its work. We have concluded the process of the student survey and currently analyzing the results for the final report. The report will provide to the President and the University data for improving services, programs, and the overall campus climate.
