The Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs is excited to announce the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration 2020, with events taking place Jan. 14-20 on the Main Campus as well as El Centro and the Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS).

The discussions, speakers and service projects seek to go beyond the familiar words from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech and toward reflective-action by asking:

  • How do each of us, as members of the NEIU community live the dream that Dr. King evoked?
  • In what ways do we live this dream for ourselves and our communities in our daily lives?
  • In what ways do we fall short?

Please join us as we honor Dr. King's life and legacy.
