Dr. López is a first generation college student who has served Northeastern for more than 11 years in several capacities including Director for the El Centro, adjunct faculty in the Goodwin College of Education’s Higher Education for the ENLACE program,  and Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.

Dr. Lopez is committed to student success of our diverse student body and tireless advocate of post-secondary education. Recently, he lead the successful opening of the University's first residence hall; developed Student Affairs key performance indicators and departmental assesment plans to measure Student Affairs contribution to student retention and success; and expanded student services at El Centro and Jacob H. Carruther's Center for Inner City Studies.


Additional Information

In keeping with Northeastern’s tradition of community involvement and its urban mission, Dr. López serves as Vice President and Annual Conference Chair of the Illinois Latino Council on Higher Education (ILACHE) and Board President for the Latino United Community Housing Association (LUCHA).
