Civil Service Position Title: Program Coordinator
Working Title: Associate Director of Alumni Relations
- Bachelor’s degree (120 semester hours) in communications, marketing, or other related field required
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in alumni relations or development (preferably in an institute of higher learning), or other constituent relations required.
The position requires a background check.
The Associate Director of Alumni Relations reports to the Director of Alumni Relations. The Associate Director works directly with the Director of Alumni Relations to assist in the coordination, implementation and management of alumni programs consistent with the University’s mission and vision by providing outreach and building relationships with Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) alumni.
The Associate Director provides management support, guidance and supervision to other Alumni Relations staff and volunteers as directed. The Associate Director assists the Director in providing leadership, management and supervision in coordinating various Alumni Association activities and events from logistics, communication and budget, including, but not limited to, the annual NEIU Weekend, Commencement activities, the In Common Magazine, other alumni programs, affinity programs, academic department and college alumni-related initiatives.
The Associate Director directly manages the NEIUAA membership program, engaging in member recruitment and renewal efforts as well as producing regular performance and assessment reports for the membership program. The Associate Director develops and executes an effective strategy and communications plan to increase annual giving through two annual direct membership appeals, annual online membership drives, as well as membership events. The individual also oversees stewardship and cultivation efforts/initiatives for NEIUAA donors.
$60,000 – $65,000 per year
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Hours may vary depending on departmental needs)
