In this role you will

Be responsible for the maintenance and effective functioning of the departmental office including:

  • Maintaining a pleasant, clutter free physical environment.
  • Hiring and supervision of student workers.
  • Managing budget and developing monthly reports.
  • Informing the social work practice and education community about policies and procedures of the department.
  • Maintaining student files on major and minor student files both on computer data files and file folders.
  • Scheduling appointments for Department Chair throughout the semester and the faculty during advanced registration.
  • Providing support services for meetings and workshops hosted by the Social Work Department.
  • Keeping department informed regarding university procedures, forms regarding budget, hiring, and use of facilities.
  • Maintaining forms and records for the department.
  • Gathering data for routinely required reports such as the annual Council on Social Work Education Report.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Any one or combination totaling one (1) unit of the following:
    • Four (4) years (48 months) of work experience comparable to the third level of this series = 1.0 unit.
    • Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience comparable to the fourth level of this series = 1.0 unit.

Work experience performing office/clerical activities, including use of computer systems
(This position requires a background check.)

$18.00

Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Hours may vary depending on departmental needs)
