Library Operations Associate
Main Library – Cataloging
- Bachelor Degree (120 semester hours) and two years (24 months) of work experience for the day-to-day operations of the Cataloging unit of the library, supervising staff, overseeing cataloging of print monographic materials in all formats; running database reports; performing/assigning database maintenance tasks, and compiling statistics. Working knowledge of MARC 21, Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, Resource Description and Access, Library of Congress classification and subject heading assignment, and authority control. Ability to create original descriptive and subject cataloging for various library materials in a variety of formats and subjects.

$39,000 per year
Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
(Hours may vary depending on departmental needs)
Under the supervision of the Coordinator of the Technical Services, the Library Operations Associate oversees the day-to-day operations of the Cataloging Unit of the Ronald Williams Library including the supervision all Civil Service staff in the unit as well as performing cataloging of print monographic materials in all formats; database maintenance, writing ACCESS reports, and compiling statistics.
