Qualifications:

  • Six (6 months) of experience in food preparation in a commercial setting.

Personal attributes needed to undertake the job:

  1. Knowledge of materials and methods used in the preparation of food
  2. Knowledge of the use and care of appropriate utensils and equipment
  3. Cleanliness
  4. Personal attributes required by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for all child care personnel

(Physical examination as required by Illinois Child Care Act for employees in child care facilities)

Departmental requirement:

Candidates must fulfill the Department of Children and Family Services guideline
(Each position requires a background check.)

Salary:

$12.00-$13.00 per hour

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
(Hours may vary depending on departmental needs)

Appointment:

50%

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, this position performs a variety of food service duties.
