Scholar Researching

The summer research project is a key experience for McNair Scholars and a substantial component of the Program’s commitment to prepare Scholars for graduate study. Each Scholar works closely with a Faculty Mentor to identify a research topic, formulate research questions, and develop a research design.

Faculty Mentors provide guidance and support for data collection, analysis, and interpretation. The culmination of all of these efforts is the research paper, which is presented at a national conference. Below is a collection of Scholars’ research paper abstracts representing many academic disciplines.
