We offer a variety of First-Year Experience (FYE) courses, from all three undergraduate colleges (Arts and Sciences, Business and Management, and Education). Students are free to choose among the courses. Each FYE course is a three credit hour course, and each FYE course fulfills a General Education requirement.
View the current class schedule for the most up to date listing. Click on Guest Access. Choose the semester. Select all subjects by clicking on the subject box and clicking control-A. Under Attribute Type, click First Year Experience. Click on Class Search.
Please note that FYE classes are for freshmen only (30 credits or fewer), and you can only take one FYE course for credit.
Ready to register for an FYE course? Complete the following steps first:
- Apply for admission to Northeastern.
- Get admitted to the University (check your status if you're not sure).
- Attend first year orientation at Northeastern (you can register for classes during orientation, including FYE classes).
If you have completed all the above steps, you can meet with an advisor to register for an FYE course. Contact the Advising Center to set up an appointment.
