In this workshop you will learn about the basic concepts of health prevention regarding diet, lifestyle, meditation, herbal medicine, and the current scientific research findings on how it improves health across all cultures.

In this workshop we explore how we typically respond when inevitable difficulties arise in our lives and learn tools for becoming a more kind, supportive companion to ourselves and others. Program activities typically include short talks, experiential exercises, meditations (no previous experience necessary), group discussion and home practices.
Northeastern Illinois University's Campus Recreation offers recreational activities and swim lessons for the whole family! Our pool has an eight-lane, 25-yard lap area and a 14-foot diving well with 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards. Programming includes open swim, adult and children learn-to-swim lessons, water polo club, underwater hockey, Women's Only Hour and much more.
