Northeastern breaks ground on Pedroso Center expansion

Northeastern Illinois University broke ground Nov. 24 on the expansion of the Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs. Attended by President Sharon Hahs, Vice President for Student Affairs Frank Ross, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Juan Guardia and Angelina Pedroso herself, the ceremony kicked off an expansion to include the women’s resource center and LGBTQA resource center, which currently are housed in separate offices.

Northeastern awarded grant from Searle Funds at The Chicago Community Trust

Northeastern Illinois University, in collaboration with Chicago City Colleges’ Wright and Truman colleges as well as offices and schools of the Chicago Public Schools, has been awarded a $100,000 Strengthening Teacher and School Leader Preparation grant from the Searle Funds at The Chicago Community Trust. The official name of the project is the NEIU Generation Educator for Middle School: Refining STEM with Pedagogical Content and Literacy (NGEMS).
