Position in Accounting or Business Law/Tax Law

Northeastern Illinois University invites applications to fill a tenure-track position either in Accounting or Business Law/Tax Law. The position will start in August of 2020.

Duties include teaching three courses per semester, performing research, and providing service at the department, college, and university level. 

For the position in accounting, minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in accounting (granted by the starting date of appointment) from an AACSB-accredited school, a demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity, and a strong background in technology and data analytics. Preference will be given to candidates with significant work experience in the area of accounting.

For the position in Business Law/Tax Law, minimum qualifications include a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school, a Master’s degree in a related field, membership in the Bar of at least one state in the U.S, and a demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity. Preference will be given to candidates who have a Master’s in Tax, an LL.M. in Taxation, the CPA license, or significant work experience.

The successful candidate must be a “Scholarly Academic” for purposes of AACSB accreditation.

Faculty Position in Management Information Systems

The College of Business and Management at Northeastern Illinois University invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank in Management Information Systems. This position will start in Fall 2019, pending final funding approval.

Minimum requirement: Applicants should have received a Ph.D. degree in Management Information Systems from an AACSB-accredited school by the starting date of appointment.

Qualifications: The successful candidate should be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to Management Information Systems; conduct quality research; and participate in service activities to NEIU community. Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research is required. Relevant business experience will also be helpful.
