Assistant Professor, Master of Social Work Program (MSW) 

Northeastern Illinois University invites applications to fill a tenure-track, full-time assistant professor of social work positions, starting in Fall 2018. The positions are primarily in the MSW program and may also include teaching in the Bachelor of Social Work Program (BSW).

Responsibilities include teaching a variety of graduate social work courses with primary focus in one or more of the following advanced practice areas: child and family social work practice, child trauma, and vulnerable populations. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in social work, or a related field, (such as Ed-D), an M.S.W. from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, active scholarship, and service. Candidates who expect to teach practice courses should also have at least two years post-MSW practice experience.. Successful candidates should address in the application their abilities to work within a culturally diverse environment and to prepare students to work effectively in a world of increasing diversity.
