Background 

Ed Schaefer joined the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment as ODS/EDW Functional Administrator in February 2013, bringing with him 16 years in higher education and 7 years developing data warehouse and business intelligence solutions and developing common data standards. Ed has worked with numerous divisions within higher education including admissions, financial aid, enrollment management, research, human resources, alumni relations, and student finances. Ed applies this knowledge to build-out the ODS and EDW at NEIU to empower users in IR and throughout the university to meet their analytic and reporting needs. Ed holds a Masters in Information Systems from DePaul University.
