Position:
Extension Program Coordinator
Center for College Access and Success (CCAS)

Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or GED
  • Four years/48 months of responsible volunteer or professional work experience in coordinating educational and/or community programs or activities, or
  • 120 semester hours or more, or
  • Any combination of experience and semester hours that equals four years

Departmental Screening:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  2. Minimum of two years working with federal grants on matching dollar/cost share reporting and understanding of federal regulations related to cost share requirements required
  3. Minimum two years working on program data entry systems required
  4. Sensitivity and commitment to the needs of families in schools serving low income or limited English proficiency communities
  5. Experience in working with teams and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Proficiency in using MS Excel and developing detailed spreadsheets
  7. Experience conducting workshops on data entry systems and match reporting systems
  8. Strong analytical and organizational skills and commitment to excellence and accuracy required
  9. Familiarity with various communities served by GEAR UP and other CCAS programs as it pertains to data collection including: Chicago Public Schools Areas-Brighton Park; Midway/Little Village; Austin; Roseland/Washington Heights; Marquette Park; Humboldt Park; Northwest Side/Albany Park; Southwest Side; Northwest Side; and South Side. Also including the Cicero and Berwyn Public Schools.

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
The Extension Program Coordinator, under general supervision of the Budget and Contract Manager and the Director of Research and Evaluation, coordinates organizes, monitors and tracks matching dollar/cost share resources for grants received at the Center. This position specializes in reviewing and approving school based partnership.
