Full Time, Continuing Position:

Under general supervision of the Director of Student Health and Counseling Services, the Assistant Director for Clinical Services provides day-to-day coordination of Counseling Services. This includes the provision, assessment, and oversight of counseling services and health promotion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Director for Clinical Services reports to the Director of Student Health and Counseling Services, who reports to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.

The Assistant Director for Clinical Services will oversee and coordinate clinical coverage; create and revise clinical policies and procedures as necessary; and manage client assignment process for Counseling Services.

The Assistant Director for Clinical Services, in collaboration with others, will also coordinate response to walk-in and other emergencies; serve as the lead administrator for Titanium and CCMH data sharing; and work closely with the Director of Student Health and Counseling Services and other Assistant Directors to decide departmental direction and provide integrated services.

The Assistant Director for Clinical Services will also supervise clerical staff and student workers; provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy; provide supervision and training; and provide outreach and consultation to the NEIU community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Ph.D or Psy. D in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and 3 years of experience in a collegiate mental health setting with administrative experience. Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois or license-eligible.

Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision benefits, sick and vacation days, and participation in the State Universities Retirement System. Applicants are expected to respond based on the entire job description.
