There will be hand-outs sent via email before and/or
after classes. You should check email frequently.

HOMEWORK Homework will be assigned at end of every class and posted
on the web site. Generally, each assignment is due
at the beginning of the next class, unless announced
otherwise. Late work will not be accepted. Each assignment
will be graded on a 10-point basis. Two worst scores will be
droped
ATTENDANCE Attending class is very important in this course. There are
many in-class projects and practice. Some subjects will not
be found in the textbook. Your attendence may be used in
borderline cases. If you are absent or late for class, it
would be your responsibility to get the notes and any other
information from another student.
MIDTERM will be on Thursday, July 17. All students are expected to
EXAM take the midterm during this scheduled time.
PROJECT A written project will be assigned after the Midterm Exam
GRADES will be determined based on
Homework 30% Project 20%
Midterm Exam 20% Final Exam 30%
Scale:
85-100%: A 75-84%: B
65-74%: C 55-64%: D
SOFTWARE Maple V, release 4 is available on network. Student
edition can be purchased from the bookstore
