While the Administrative Information Systems (AIS) department is responsible for the technical support of the administrative information systems, training for the administrative information systems is coordinated with several university departments whose staff are the most knowledgeable and best equipped to handle the questions posed by university faculty and staff.
Enrollment Services (formerly Admissions & Records) is responsible for the training of university staff on the Jenzabar/CARS Student Information System. Most training sessions are conducted on an individual basis and scheduled in advance. Staff with new Jenzabar/CARS accounts are required to attend a training course prior to gaining access to the Jenzabar/CARS Student Information System.
Any staff needing a refresher course can contact Lynn Walsh at extension 4045 to schedule a time to receive the refresher training.
The Controller's Office conducts regularly scheduled training classes for the Acxiom/FRS Financial System. These include system access (dependent upon training), posting and tracking of expense documents and budgetary account reconciliation.
Training is also available for payroll distribution, property control and navigating the Fiscal Agent Handbook. A travel workshop is currently in the development stage.
