Education
By Jill Bisluk I feel that Adventure Challenge Education works because it is directed to make everyone succeed. I feel it works because when people partake in adventure activities, they are allowed to be a different person. Individuals do not have to act tough, be the smartest in the class, be the most athletic -- everyone is equal. While doing adventure there is a bond that is formed between everyone that you cannot find while sitting behind a desk. People learn to “take down their wall” and let people into their lives. This is one of the times where kids could be kids, and adults could bring fun and laughter back into their lives instead of being stressed and overpowered by their work. You never hear putdowns, or threats; you hear cheering, and laughter and encouragement. When people
are encouraged. they tend to go the extra mile. Miracles are made
with adventure challenge and you do not even know it is happening.
When teachers and students come up to you saying this is the best time
they have had in a long time (that was school related), it makes you feel
good as a person. To see a student smile and have fun is one of the
best feelings I think a teacher could have. An adventure class is
a place where people can feel safe and be a part of something real.
