  • James Neill's "Outdoor Education Research & Evaluation Center" website at http://www.wilderdom.com/research.html

James Neill is currently a teacher at the Center for Applied Psychology at the University of Canberra and working as a research consultant. His website, "Outdoor Education Research & Evaluation Center", is a highly useful and comprehensive research tool and source that Experiential and Adventure educators and professionals will find most useful. (www.wilderdom.com/research.html)

This website provides a hefty list of activities that includes teambuilding games, icebreakers, and peace activities that are well explained and annotated. He also provides a vast array of information and links to advanced topics such as adventure therapy, experiential education, and facilitation, just to name a few.

James provides many noteworthy articles that he has written or collected from others: "Survivor Scenario Exercise"  and "Team building exercises: Review of top 15 websites on Google" are two articles out of many. As well, he lists several Outdoor Education Resources, which include grant writing, lesson plans, and conferences. In addition, he provides information about the history, culture, and philosophy of Outdoor Education.
Reserve a large block of time for investigating what Neill's site has to offer as he has provided a plethora of solid information. Share this valuable educational resource with others in your field.
