The Information Center is where the Northeastern Community comes for IDs.  Whether you are a Student, Alumni, or Employee, all IDs are made here.

Please note: NEIU ID Cards are valid as long as you are enrolled for classes or employed at the University.   Additionally, once you receive an Alumni ID, that card is a lifetime ID.  No matter which ID card you carry, it is only replaced under certain conditions.

Student ID Cards
Eligibility
University students currently enrolled in classes at Northeastern are eligible for a Student ID.

Verification of Status
Have your proof of current registration and photo ID (any ID, must have name and photo).

Benefits
Students have access to many benefits and services, such as:

• Library access and withdrawal privileges
• Debit card for vending machines and copiers
• Proof of status for discounts at:
• the Box Office @ University Events
• the P.E. Complex for a Wellness Center Membership
• Discounts at participating local restaurants and merchants

Costs
Initial Student ID Card: FREE
Replacement Card: $10.00

Alumni ID Cards
Eligibility
University Alumni that are not currently enrolled in classes at Northeastern are eligible for an Alumni ID.

Graduate Students are not eligible for Alumni Cards.  Although they may have graduated from NEIU as undergraduates, they are still students if currently enrolled in graduate courses at NEIU and therefore eligible for a Student ID.

Verification of Alumni Status
Verification of Alumni Status must be established by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations:

• Dora Jimenez, Office Manager- 773.442.4205

The Office of Alumni Relations is located on the 6th Floor of the C Building and is open Monday - Friday 8:30a-4:30p.

Please call the Information Center at 773.442.4290 to confirm that verification has been received before coming to have your Alumni ID made.  In addition, a photo ID (any ID, must have name and photo) will be required.

Employee ID Cards
Eligibility
All Faculty and Staff are eligible for Employee ID Cards.

Verification of Employee Status
Civil Service must obtain an ID Request Form from Mary Griesinger in Human Resources.  The completed sheet, with NEIU ID number and Ms. Griesinger's signature, must be brought to the Information Center along with a photo ID (any ID, must have name and photo).

Benefits
Benefits of the employee ID include:

• Library access and withdrawal privileges
• 10% off at Beck's Bookstore (except on food products)

Costs
Initial Employee ID Card: FREE
Replacement Card: $10.00

The Red Arrow shows where you can find your NEIU ID Number.
It is located in the same place, no matter your type of ID.

An ID will be replaced for free for the following reasons:

• Information Changes (such as name); you must provide proof of the change with another document or ID
• ID is damaged; bring the damaged ID to the Information Center to have it replaced

Original ID must be surrendered when replacement ID is made
