Proposal Development and Submission:

Agency Liaison

  • Communicate with granting agencies for program information, application forms, budget information, deadlines, program officers, telephone numbers, and any other information needed by faculty to prepare grant applications.
  • Facilitate conference calls and webinars with the Principal Investigator and the funding agency.
  • Obtain institutional data.

Proposal Development and Submission

  • Assist in developing proposals and concept papers for preliminary evaluation by granting agency.
  • Assist faculty in developing text of proposals.
  • Assist in budget preparation.
  • Ensure that proposals meet agency guidelines and provide all required information.
  • Critique and proof-read proposals prior to submission.
  • Supply any required certifications, assurances, and institutional compliances required by the granting agency.
  • Provide copies of proposals to appropriate internal offices and expedite campus review.
  • Obtain signature of the president as the official authorized representative of the university.

Timely Submission of the Grant Proposal to the OSP:

  • A draft of the proposal including the budget must be submitted to the OSP ten working days prior to the official dealine in order to allow time for proper routing..
  • Complete grant proposals are due to the OSP three working days prior to the official deadline so that we may deal with any potential submission errors or problems.
