We would like to extend a special welcome to our new faculty members: Dr. Anthony Adams and Dr. Seung-Hwan Mun.
Dr. Adams' Quick Bio: Dr. Adams' research interests include autoethnography and life writing, the discourse of nature at zoos and aquaria, and the ways in which identities such as sex, gender, and sexuality can affect human interaction. His work has appeared in journals such as Qualitative Inquiry, Soundings, Cultural Studies ↔ Critical Methodologies, and The Review of Communication, and he is currently working on a book about gay identity and coming out.
Dr. Adams received an Associate’s degree from Danville Area Community College (Danville, Illinois), a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Southern Illinois University (Carbondale), and a Doctorate from the University of South Florida (Tampa).
Dr. Mun's Quick Bio: Dr. Mun’s primary research and teaching interests include media law and telecommunications policy, the history of media technologies, and global media systems. His most recent research examines the cultural history of authorship and formation of modern copyright systems across different cultures. His work has been published in Government Information Quarterly, LBJ Journal of Public Affairs, and the Encyclopedia of Television.
Dr. Mun has a M.A. and Ph.D. in Communication (Radio-Television-Film) from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. in Mass Communication from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea.
