![]() CurrencyThis site is really up to date. The last article posted was only a week ago. The site is in the middle of undergoing a platform change to make sure that even "weird mobile browsers" will be able to see the site as it should be seen.RelevanceThis is a blog whose purpose is to present stories that are either bizzare, not well known, or simply strange. The only similarity between all stories is that all of them happened in real life. Not one of them is fiction. The intended audience therefore is pretty large: from pre-teens to old timers. The information is catered in such a way that it is easy to understand for everyone. Links are provided for those wanting to learn more about a specific topic.AuthorityThe site is currently run by about 10 highly creative bonafide writers, most of them living in the United States. Each of them posts stories of an event that they either encountered or they heard about, only that they put their creativity into it making some stories sound like Stephen King wrote them. Each author has an email posted.AccuracyThe information comes from research each of the authors has done. It is reviewed by each of the other authors and improvements are suggested. Once everything is in place, the article rolls out to the front page. At the end of each article, several links are posted in benefit of the reader for "further reading." These links function as support for the article. Articles are never free of emotion (ie. suspence) but they aren't biased either.PurposeFrom the website: "Our primary aim is to collect and dispense damn interesting facts and ideas, whether they appeared in the past, the present, or the (anticipated) future."RATING: 5/5 |
