![]() CurrencyThe site is really up to date. Shows a new story maybe once every half hour. Top stories are sorted in a little box.RelevanceAOL is a mixed content site. This makes it very hard to be relevant. AOL is an internet service provider, but none of the content on the site hints at that. It has a huge amount of information but none of it seems credible.AuthorityAOL hardly seems the place you want to find online games at, and much less buy your car at. However, AOL provides links to same-domain sites that offer these. While AOl makes a great effort in covering a huge amount of topics, it doesn't seem to have the authority to make it great.AccuracyAlthough news stories from AOL are sourced from actual news sites. Some of the news seems biased and inacurate. Most often than not, unrelated news stories get grouped together and shown as one big story. This throws off readers and also distracts them from the real story.PurposeUnfortunately, unlike the other sites I have reviewed, this site does not have an about page. It seems like AOL created a page without a set purpose and, inevitably, wanted to become a general purpose website where you can go to get any information you want. Maybe it was designed to be a homepage for your browser so you can have all information within one click. The truth is that I don't know the purpose of this website.RATING: 1/5 |
