Student Health & Counseling Services
Providing physical and mental health services to all Northeastern students.
Counseling and therapy is provided to help students understand and deal with emotional distress, relationship difficulties and personal concerns, freeing them to make clearer and healthier decisions. All current Northeastern students are eligible to receive up to 50 individual or couple counseling sessions. Group sessions are also provided, depending on availability. Health services are available to all currently enrolled NEIU students with a valid I.D., and are generally free of charge. The nurses provide assessment, treatment, and follow-up for a wide range of complaints and problems. When additional services are needed, students may be referred to their physician. In the event of a medical emergency. University Police should be immediately contacted at ext. 5511 so they can call the paramedics and assist them in reaching the emergency on campus.
