Riding the freeway isn't a lot of fun. But it get's you from
here to there.
One thing I did: I did bring a cassette player and used it while
riding the shoulder. Less dangerous here on the shoulder than on
the narrow roads, it isn't so important to hear cars approaching.
They're approaching all the time! So I listened to Strauss (uphill)
and Mozart (downhill).
But off the freeway, don't use it! You'll miss the sounds of the coast which are an important part of the ride!
