At the meeting on January 16th, 2008 those few present voted to discontinue the Eugene Field Civic Association.

Over the past year, interest in the organization has waned, evidenced by the lack of participation in the meetings.  There seems to be no clear reason for this but the officers and members present could see no reasonable means to accomplish the mission and goals of the organization with very little neighborhood participation.

The meeting on February 20th at 7:00 PM will be to decide on the method and means to dispose of the ongoing business, mainly the removal of the banners around the neighborhood for which the association is liable.

A final meeting will be held on March 19th to dispose of any remaining financial assets, to be donated to the Eugene Field Fieldhouse and Cultural Center.
