Clinical Practicum is conducted in the Literacy Center at the Byrn Mawr campus. Each session is limited to 10 graduate students. It is important for graduate students to complete an application and indicate first and second choice of terms for clinical practicum. Preferences are honored based on the receipt date of the application. In order to maintain registration in the clinical practicum graduate students must provide a finger-print background check conducted within the previous 12 months. Graduate students must provide official evidence they have passed the appropriate Reading Specialist 176 or Reading Teacher 177 exam prior to receiving a grade in the clinical practicum. Graduate students can register for the  exam at Illinois State Board of Education website If you have any questions about the clinical practicum, you may contact Dr. JoAnne Vazzano who is the Literacy Center Coordinator.
