Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) Terms
- Abilities
- There are 6 abilities that a DnD character has: Strength,
Dexterity,
Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. Each one has a
number that defines how good that statistic is. A score of
10 or 11 is average.
- Ability Modifiers
- The number you apply to the die roll (usually a 20 sider) when
your character tries to do something related to that ability. You
also use the modifier with some numbers that aren't die rolls. A
positive modifier is called a bonus, and a negative modifier is
called a penalty.
