Student Semester Level II Parking is automatically included in the student's bill. Student parking fees are prorated according to the student's registered credit hours for the each semester. Students must display their permits by the last business day of the first full week of classes. Any permit not properly displayed by the beginning of the second full week of classes is subject to being fined.

Students not requiring parking or those that prefer to purchase Level I parking must opt out of parking by submitting a parking waiver to the Cashier's Office. The parking waiver form is available at the Cashier's Office or at http://www.neiu.edu/DOCUMENTS/About_NEIU/Administration/VP_-_Finance_Administration/Bursar/parking_waiver.pdf. After opting out of Level II parking the student may purchase Level I parking.

Payments and Issuing:
All initial student permit charges are included on your student bill and must be paid for at the Cashiers Office. Each semester, a student must confirm their classes, before registering your vehicle's online at our website address www.neiu.edu/parking, in order to receive a parking permit and activate university parking privileges. All students are required to pay for daily parking prior to confirmation of classes. All permits will be mailed unless a direct pickup from the Parking Office is specifically requested. Permits must be properly displayed within seven days from the permit mail out date in order not to be ticketed. Any permit not properly displayed by the beginning of the second full week of classes is subject to being fined. If you have any outstanding parking obligations or encounter any problems while registering your vehicle online, contact the parking office at 773-442-4114 or 4117 for assistance in completing this process. Please note: Students who desire to participate in the Level 1 parking program must sign a waiver form to opt out of the Level 2 parking program and independently purchase a Level 1 parking permit (forms obtained in the Cashier's Office).
Students not requiring parking must cancel/opt out of parking by submitting a parking waiver to the Cashier's Office. The parking waiver form is available at the Cashier's Office or at http://www.neiu.edu/DOCUMENTS/About_NEIU/Administration/VP_-_Finance_Administration/Bursar/parking_waiver.pdf. Student automatically billed Level II parking is refunded to the student's bill in accordance with University deadlines and policies, when waiving parking or dropping classes. The permit's of students, who dropped all their classes and received a parking refund, become invalid on the class drop date and should be returned to the Parking Office.
Vehicle/Permit Registration: Each semester, students must confirm their classes, before they can register their vehicle(s) on-line at our website address www.neiu.edu/parking, in order to receive a parking permit. All permits will be mailed unless a direct pickup from the Parking Office is specifically requested. Photo ID is required for all direct permit pickup.
Fall 2010: Online semester permit registration begins August 2, 2010.
