     Permit Payment Options, Types and Rates: (payroll deduction and direct purchase)

      Employee parking is available through payroll deduction or direct purchase. 

 

 

     Payroll Deductions:

Employees who elect to pay for parking through payroll deductions must fill out a payroll election/vehicle registration form. The payroll election/vehicle registration form is available at the Payroll Office or at www.neiu.edu/parking/.   Once the form has been submitted to the Payroll Department for processing a copy will be immediately forwarded to the Parking Office.

Vehicle Registration: The employee must register their vehicle on line. To register click

here :http://discovery.neiu.edu/parking/permits/permits.asp?utype1 within three business days of submission of the form to the payroll department. Once the Parking Office receives the online Vehicle registration request, and verifies receipt of the employee payroll election form, the requestor will be notified that the parking permit is ready for pickup.  The employee must pick up their parking permit within three university business days of notification.

Emeritus/Retiree:

Northeastern Illinois University retirees who are fully retired and no longer work for the university are entitled to a retiree pass.  Retiree passes can only be used by and are only valid when used by the qualifying retiree.  Retirees that return to work at the university part-time and receive a university issued paycheck must pay for parking and are not entitled to free retiree parking privileges until they are no longer employed by the university. 

 

     Vehicle Registration:

Northeastern Illinois University retirees must fill out a vehicle registration form when they pick up their retiree permit from the Parking Office.
