Underachievement

Josh Shaine has been teaching gifted children in homes, schools,and
enrichment programs, including the MIT Educational Studies Program, for more
than 25 years. For 6 years, he was the headmaster of an alternative school for
gifted 7th-12th grade students who were not thriving in traditional educational
settings. He is currently on the board of Kids College in New Hampshire. He
has also served on the boards of the Hollingworth Center for Highly Gifted Children,
the New Hampshire Association for Gifted Education, and the Massachusetts Association
for Gifted Education. Josh is the force behind the Beyond IQ Conferences on

Anna Caveney
Anna Caveney is an education consultant. She has designed and implemented individualized curricula for homeschooling teenagers, developed a theory of the emotional foundations of underachievement and led workshops addressing the challenges and joys of being highly gifted. She has created and taught classes in calculus, thinking skills and peer counseling.

May 15 - Day Three - 2e or not 2e? That is a question. Where does the psychology
of the 2e kid diverge from the non-2e underachiever?
May 16 - Day Four - Enough of this healing broken wings crap - what if I don't
want the wings to be broken to begin with?!
May 17 - Day Five - Wrap Up, Closing Statements
Josh Shaine has also invited Anna Caveney to participate during
the conference. She will focus on the topic of "motivational paralysis".
