WHAT
IS THE RESERVE COLLECTION?
Reserve is
a collection of materials that faculty members have made available as additional
or supplemental reading for their course offerings. Materials on reserve
may be searched via the Library's online catalog. For help
with locating materials in the catalog or at the Reserve Desk click
here.
WHO MAY
BORROW RESERVE MATERIALS?
Materials
are available only to current students, faculty, and staff. A current and
valid photo ID card is required
to use reserve materials. Alumni and library users from other institutions
are not allowed to use reserve materials.
FOR HOW
LONG CAN RESERVE MATERIALS BE BORROWED?
Materials
may circulation period varies anywhere from two hours to one week. The
length of time is determined by the faculty member placing material on
Reserve. Two hour reserve materials must be used in the Library. Overnight
items may be checked out after 4 PM and are due the following day by 10:15
a.m.
MAY I RENEW
RESERVE MATERIALS?
You may renew
materials unless there is a hold on the item, it is for overnight use,
or it is overdue. You can renew items by calling Ext. 4404 or (773) 442-4404.
CAN I HAVE
RESERVE MATERIALS HELD FOR ME?
An item can
be held for pick-up on a specific day and time. Phone requests for holding
reserve materials can be made by calling Ext. 4404 or (773) 442-4404.
WHAT ARE
THE FINES FOR OVERDUE RESERVE MATERIALS?
$1.00 per
hour fine on over due Library Use Only material. $2.00 per day fines on
1,2, and 3 day and 1 week overdue reserve items.
WHAT IF
I LOSE A RESERVE ITEM?
You will
be required to pay for any accrued fine, a $10.00 processing fee and the
replacement cost of the item. All reserve items must be returned to the
Reserve Desk. Drop off boxes may not be used.
HOW MANY
RESERVE ITEMS MAY I BORROW?
There is
a limit of five items at any one time, so that materials may be available
for others to use.
HOW DO
I LOCATE MATERIALS MY INSTRUCTOR HAS PLACED ON RESERVE?
