Off-Campus Access to the Library's Databases
Access to the Library's Databases FAQ

If you are a NEIU student, faculty or staff you can access all of the Library's databases from a computer off-campus, regardless of how you connect to the Internet. If you have been using NEIU as your Internet Service Provider (ISP) you should you should be able to connect directly to any database from our Web site. However, if you use a non-NEIU ISP, such as AOL, you can access all of our commercial databases by providing your NEIU email Login and Password. You can also access our databases using a cable modem or DSL connection. Here's how it works:

  1. Click on a database you wish to access. If it is a commercial database that requires you to identify yourself as a NEIU student, faculty or staff, you will be taken to a Database Login page.
  2. Fill out your NEIU email Login and Password on the Database Login page. Click the Submit button.
  3. Our software will verify that you are a NEIU student, faculty or staff and send you to the database you chose. It's that simple!

Don't know your NEIU email Login and Password or have other questions? Go to our Access to the Library's Databases FAQ page for a complete list of help topics to assist you in accessing our databases.
