| Many strategies exist for academic program assessment. To learn more
about these attend one or several of the workshops offered through NEIU’s
Center for Teaching and Learning. These workshops are attuned to NCA requirements
and the needs of NEIU faculty and academic leaders(see the workshop descriptions
and schedules included on this site).
If you would like to begin to familiarize yourself with some of the
key concepts, Portland State University has several sites that may be
of interest. The first is an FAQ about where to start with program assessment.

To see an example of how a beginning program assessment plan might
look like using a generic portfolio model, click onto:

To see an example of how a beginning program assessment plan might
look like using a more traditional input-output model, click onto:

Secondly, you may wish to see examples of what other universities have
done by discipline. If so, find your discipline and click onto the related
links. Additions will be made throughout the semester.
