The Nontraditional Degree Programs (NDP) is composed of the Bachelor of Arts
in Interdisciplinary Studies (BAIS) Program and the University Without Walls Program
(UWW). These programs, were designed to offer options and flexibility to mature adult students. In addition to job responsibilities, returning adults often have family
and community commitments. These programs provide adults an opportunity to earn a regionally accredited undergraduate degree in a manner compatible with their educational needs and lifestyles. These highly individualized and flexible programs recognize that adults may have attended a variety of educational institutions and accept transfer of passing course work taken at other regionally accredited colleges and universities.
The BAIS Program is a credit-based program designed to meet the undergraduate educational needs of experienced adults in a manner compatible with career and family responsibilities. We serve approximately 2,000 returning adult students who are enrolled in
BAIS.
UWW is a
competency-based degree program that
leads to a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree. It
was created to assist adult learners in designing and completing
an approved individualized curriculum. There are about 50
students enrolled in the UWW Program.
