CREAR is a project with the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.

- To fund up to 8 NEIU majors in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Applied Math for research opportunities in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at UIUC or at NEIU in the summer of 2011 and 2012.
- help all interested NEIU majors in these four areas successfully apply for internships, jobs, and graduate school in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
Summer Research Experience details:
- STIPEND: $5000 plus housing and transportation (if at UIUC) or $3000 (if at NEIU).
- TIME COMMITMENT: 35 hrs/week for ten weeks.

Applications are due March 15, 2011 and the award announcement will take place April 15, 2011 at the NEIU Annual Student Research/Creative Activities Symposium luncheon.
