1 Sept. 1st Introduction -- HTML
2 9/8 LogoWriter presentation. Read ch. 6 - CAI. Get into teams by doing the Personality test presentation.
3 9/15 Rosh Hashana - I will not be there, but you could come. Read Ch. 9 on Educational Multimedia
4 9/22 Visual Basic Presentation. Build teams. 1st assignment due. Present personal web pages.
5 9/29 Teams meet. Squeakland
6 Oct. 6th Maybe a presentation of Java. Read ch. 8 - Distance learning. Work in teams.
7Oct. 13th Read ch. 10 readings discussion. Present your 2nd assignment using LogoWriter
8 10/20 Midi music presentation. Midterm (team). Assignment to be just about ready
9 10/27 Present your Midterm team project
10 Nov. 3rd Read ch. 15 - Discuss readings and plan on individual projects.
11 11/10 Work on individual project
12 11/17 Work on individual project
13 11/24 Student Presentations
14 December 1st Student Presentations
15 Dec. 8th Last class- Papers & individual projects due-- student presentations
16 12/15 No more classes. No final exam. Enjoy the semester break!

  • You may also download for free Java and C++ textbooks.
  • Check the links from the Faculty Summer Institute on technology in education.
  • If there are books left over from last year in the bookstore you could buy an HTML textbook to help you with your home page.
  • Also in the bookstore there may be a tutorial of Podium, version 7 left over from last year. That would be beneficial for your class presentations and your projects.
