CS403 is taught in FA104 (smart classroom) on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:15-5:30 PM or virtually at the CS board room

This class is hybrid, which means once in a while we won't meet physically in school.

1 Jan. 12th Introduction -- HTML
2 1/19-21/2010 LogoWriter presentation. Read ch. 6 - CAI. Get into teams by doing the Personality test presentation.
3 1/26-28. Read Ch. 9 on Educational Multimedia
4 Feb. 2nd-4th, 2010 Visual Basic Presentation. Build teams. 1st assignment due. Present personal web pages.
5 2/9-11/2010 Teams meet. Squeakland
6 2/16-18 Maybe a presentation of Java. Read ch. 8 - Distance learning. Work in teams.
7Feb. 23rd-25th Read ch. 10 readings discussion. Present your 2nd assignment using LogoWriter
8 March 2nd-4th- Midi music presentation. Midterm (team). Assignment to be just about ready
9 3/9-11 Present your Midterm team project
10 3/16-18/10 Read ch. 15 - Discuss readings and plan on individual projects.
11 3/23-25 Work on individual project
12 3/30-April Fool's day Work on individual project
13 4/6-8/10 Student Presentations
14 4/13-15 Student Presentations
15 4/20-22 Last class- Papers & individual projects due-- student presentations
16 4/27-29 No more classes. No final exam. Enjoy the semester break!

  • You may also download for free Java and C++ textbooks.
  • Check the links from the Faculty Summer Institute on technology in education.
  • If there are books left over from last year in the bookstore you could buy an HTML textbook to help you with your home page.
  • Also in the bookstore there may be a tutorial of Podium, version 7 left over from last year. That would be beneficial for your class presentations and your projects.
