The button of Ben Franklin
You might be interested: the big white button sculpture? The assumption
of the sculptor, legend has it, is that Ben Franklin, being as well as an
inventor, and early American genius, was also a gourmand and hedonist in
general, might very well have popped the last button off of his waistcoat
-- and if you looked carefully enough at the large statue of Old Ben
across from the button sculpture, you would see that -- indeed -- there is
one button missing.
