Best Practices

One of the prime objectives of this project is to promote improved learning and student satisfaction through the use of techniques that actively engage the students in their learning.  Members of this project have utilized a variety of interactive techniques in recognition of numerous successful learning styles.

On September 12-13, 2003, twenty five participants from the science and mathematics departments attended a stimulating professional development workshop presented by Richard M. Felder, Ph.D. and  Rebecca Brent, Ed.D.  The Active and Cooperative Learning in the College Classroom Workshop was held at Northeastern Illinois University.
