 Michael Allen Dymmoch

Michael Allen Dymmoch has degrees in both chemistry and law enforcement. She has served as president and secretary for the Midwest Chapter of Mystery Writers of America, and as newsletter editor for the Chicagoland chapter of Sisters in Crime. As a mystery writer she is best know for her Chicago psychiatrist Jack Caleb and police detective John Thinnes series. A few of these titles include The Man Who Understood Cats which won the St. Martin's Press Malice Domestic Award for Best First Traditional Mystery of 1992, The Feline Friendship (2003) and Incendiary Designs (1998). In Ms. Dymmoch's latest novel, The Fall: A Thriller (August, 2004), she departs from her Thinnes/Caleb series with a stand-alone novel starring a notably feisty and witty heroine sleuth, Joanne Lessing. Lessing is a suburban Chicago photographer, and a single-mom refugee from an abusive marriage. The White Tiger is due to be released August 2005. Ms. Dymmoch lives in Chicago's northern suburbs.
