Academic Training 2008 PhD in Earth Sciences (Major: Geography), 2004 MPhil in GISs and Remote Sensing, Awarded first class 2003 M.A in Geography (Hons.), Awarded gold medal for first position in the university 2001 B.A. in Geography (Hons.), Awarded first position in the university Specialties Remote Sensing Physical Geography Geomorphology Hydrologic Modeling Research Activities UPrimary Research My current research is grounded in
Geographic Information Science and explores the complex nature of alluvial fan evolution through space and over time. Inherent in this research is a strong field component that combines field mapping, ground truthing, relative age dating, and absolute age dating techniques. USecondary Research My secondary research concentrates on hydrological modeling with special emphasis on floodplain inundation modeling and in studying the areas prone to these hazardous events.
