COURSE DESCRIPTION

Knowledge of an Object-oriented programming language and Data Structures. Students in this course will be encouraged to build and deploy powerful, interactive Web applications using the very latest Web programming and database technologies: Visual Studio.Net or DreamWeaver, HTML and XHTML, Photoshop, Flash, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, PhP,and if time permits Oracle9i, MySql or MS Access 2002. The goal of this course is to provide an introduction to creating Web sites that incorporate data from databases (when possible). This course provides an introduction to material about HTML, ASP.NET, VB.NET. In addition to explaining concepts, the course uses a multitude of web creating assignments to reinforce the material in each chapter. Check Out her webpage.

Assignment to be completed in semester:

Assignment 1 :
Create a web page on NEIU site with some graphics, lists (ordered, unordered, definition), email address, horizontal rule, and headers. There should also be a link to a 2nd page where you'll later do assignment 2, etc.
Assignment 2:
Do one of the projects at the end of chapter 2 or any other page of your choice. Use tables, and a framed page. The left window must have a list of at least 3 or 4 links with all targets on the right frame except one that will take you to a new window using target="_blank" within the anchor element.
