    Evaluating Information on the Internet

Back

This unit consists of four modules; Problem Based Learning, Critical Thinking, Web Quests, and Evaluating Information. The idea is that to be able to evaluate information critically, the student must be able to think critically and apply those skills and dispositions to the process of evaluating Internet sites.

The model of PBL is well suited to teaching evaluation and analysis skills and the Web Quest is a recent lesson plan model that complements the other processes being used here.

Altogether, these four modules should prepare students to use critical thinking and inquiry techniques to research information on the Internet.
