The Math Development Program

Department Note for Math Development: Spring 2006 Schedule of Classes: ________________________________________________________________________

AN IMPORTANT NOTE FOR MATH DEVELOPMENT 090, 091, AND MATH 102

An authorization permit for your registration in Math Dev 090, Math Dev 091, and Math 102 is necessary for touch-tone registration. Permits will be issued ONLY after completion of the Math Placement Test. Contact the Assessment Center, Classroom Building, Room 3026, 773-442-5290, for further information. Placement Testing should be completed at least two weeks prior to a permit request. Placement results are obtained from Academic Advising, A-109.

After Math Placement has been completed and course work has begun, a final grade of C or higher is the prerequisite to advance to the next course.

Permits for Advance Registration will be issued beginning, Monday October 10th. Permits MUST be obtained AT LEAST 48 hours prior to touch-tone registration. Students currently enrolled in a Math 090 or Math 091 will request their permit through their classroom instructor. Other students can obtain their permit from the Math Development Office, Science Building, S 204-B. Slide your completed permit application form under the door of S-204 B, if staff is not available to accept your permit. Pick up your processed form from the permit folders by S-204 B, after 48 hours to confirm your class authorization. Permits can also be submitted by e-mail to: T-Blackburn1@neiu.edu. Please include your name, university id #, course, section#, reference #, and pre-requisite.

Permits are valid through Late Registration. Your last opportunity to obtain a permit for Spring is for Late Registration.  Permits will be issued at the Math Development Office, S 204 B, on Monday, January 2nd and Tuesday January 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. only.
