POEMS to be read and discussed in class (WSP 101)
This assignment is to encourage us to think about the ideas of the course in different ways, in poetic ways.  Everyone will pick a poem the first week of class and then will be expected to read their poem out loud on the assigned day and discuss what the poem means and how it relates to the material of the course.  If you want to make up something in advance about your poem I can link it to the listing below.  The grading will be on the thoughtfulness and consideration you have given your poem and its relationship to the course materials.  This is worth 10 points.  For help considering your poem there is a web site that defines different terms used when discussing poetry that you might want to check out. Also, I have prepared information about how to read and think about your poem and discussing it.
