Scoring criteria for presentations

 

 

1.  Quality of PowerPoint slides.

Easy to read (font, size, background, colors)

Right amount of information

Used to highlight main points

Pleasing to the eye

Animations, graphics, etc., add to presentation, don't distract

 

2.  Purpose of the presentation is clearly stated from the start (question to be answered or hypothesis to be tested).

3.  Presentation is well-organized, in a way that makes sense.

4.  When describing studies it is clear how their method and results lead to the conclusion, and how that conclusion relates to the purpose of the presentation.

5.  Natural, relaxed speaking manner.  Don’t just read from slides.
